Let's Get To Know Each Other!
Thanks so much for stopping by to get to know a little about me. My name’s Mackenzie (She/They), but I also answer to Mack, Ken, MBH, and a myriad of other nicknames. I was born and raised in a small suburb of San Francisco. Growing up, I was a bit of a wild child, always seeking to put on a show and entertain people. My love of performing was first sparked by movies like High School Musical and The Little Mermaid (I just wanted to be a part of that world!). I always wanted to be the center of attention and put on shows for my family, friends, neighbors, the mailman, or pretty much anyone who I could get to listen to me sing.

As I’ve grown and evolved as a human being, I have also grown as an artist, and my passion for theatre has found new and exciting “whys”. Now I am driven by the radical empathy it requires to inhabit a character and tell the story of a beautifully flawed, well rounded human being onstage. I believe that theatre is one of the purest, most magical forms of human connection there is, and through storytelling we can allow people to feel seen and loved for who they truly are.

I am also passionate about the intersection of social justice and theatre. I am interested in new works that explore underrepresented identities and communities - both stories that explore identities I align with such as being a Queer, neurodiverse, Jewish woman, and stories about other minority groups of which I work to be an ally towards every day. I am a Capricorn, which means I am relentlessly hard working, and will bring a sense of unparalleled dedication, curiosity, and joyfullness to any creative space I enter into. Outside of theatre, I am an avid reader, hiker, and reality tv fanatic. I love spending time with my family, friends, and my adorable kitty, Moo. You can often find me cooking a yummy vegan treat in the kitchen, watering my plants, or journaling.
